For IHG Hotels & Resorts, I led artwork development from concept through execution for a dual-brand Staybridge Suites and Holiday Inn Express environment, creating a cohesive collection that could honor two distinct brand identities while feeling intentional within a single public-space design.
The challenge was to reconcile Holiday Inn Express’s bolder visual language with the more elevated, residential character of Staybridge Suites. I developed the creative direction and artwork strategy around a more contemporary, textural and design-led aesthetic — using artwork as an expressive layer of brand identity while maintaining cohesion with the architecture, interiors and broader regional artwork strategy.
Working across Design Strategy, Design Review, Procurement and external art partners, I guided the program through concept development, creative briefing, proposal selection, material and fabrication decisions, render development, sampling and refinement. Select pieces were produced and reviewed at the IHG Design Center before the collection advanced into specification, pricing, procurement, vendor coordination and contracting.
The result was a fully developed artwork program spanning the front desk, market, breakfast room, meeting spaces and guest corridors—transforming two existing visual languages into one unified collection of elevated, tactile pieces designed specifically for the shared hotel environment.
